Here's the story on storied child librarian
West Hill story-time leader has a real way with youngsters, older fans, too
Patrons know what to expect when they enter Akron's West Hill Library. A sign at the main desk bears five words: respect, listening, relationship, empowerment, growth. They're words the library staff chose to describe the culture of the building. And for Barb White, the branch manager and early childhood librarian, they're words to live by.

Puskarich takes part in standardization
CADIZ — The Puskarich Public Library and Bowerston Public Library were part of the first group of libraries in Ohio to join in a coordinated effort to standardize loan periods and fines among adjoining counties.

Garage Rock III season opens downtown July 6
The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library, 325 Michigan St., has announced its line-up for Garage Rock III, a free four-week music series scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays in the library’s parking garage.
